Sour Duck Market is the younger, more casual cousin of Odd Duck, and this is definitely a good thing. Despite it being a sweltering hot morning when we visited, it was still a very enjoyable experience. The food was stellar, I loved the over all vibe, and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s the sort of place I wish I had in my own neighborhood because I know I would hang out there all the time (think Friends and Central Perk).

Trying to narrow down just what to order was the worst part of our trip to Sour Duck because everything looked and sounded so good! I’m also dying to check it out for lunch or dinner because that menu looks absolutely fantastic.

The back patio area is simply delightful! I can totally picture myself setting up camp there to get work done, read, knit (maybe not in Texas weather) all while enjoying delicious food and drinks.

In addition to the actual brunch menu, the bake case has so many tempting options. Caroline loved this blueberry kolache. I didn’t even get to try a bite!

That’s okay though because my mushroom muffaletta was superb. Many months later, and I still find myself thinking about this sandwich. Both the bread and the filling were incredible.

This summery salad was the perfect thing to go along with it my sandwich – so seasonal and refreshing! It seemed like a huge bowl at the time but somehow, I managed to finish it.
