A few years ago, I began the annual tradition of knitting a sweater for each of my kids as a holiday gift. At the beginning, I chose the patterns and colors myself but as they have grown, I like to get their input. As much as I wish it could be a surprise, I would much rather make something that they will actually want to wear.
The moment I first laid eyes on the Stockholm sweater from Petite Knit, I knew Caroline would absolutely love it. I showed it to her and she enthusiastically agreed! The adorable yarn used in the modeled pattern shots is so perfect but sadly was no longer available. I am very picky about variegated yarns and searched long and hard to find something that would give exactly the finished look we wanted. Thankfully I found this pale pink beauty with tiny specks of gorgeous bright jewel tones and it ended up being perfect. Since the yarn is held double with a thin strand of angora, the finished garment has an irresistibly soft fuzzy halo effect and a plush hand feel.
