Well, once again things have been quiet around here because I have been off traveling. I had planned to finish the Italy posts last week but, since I was on vacation, I didn’t open my laptop once. Exactly as vacation should be. This has been a crazy month full of fun but now I’m home and like it or not, things are getting back to normal. (No worries, I’m already planning our next trip.) I’ll finish up the Italy posts later this week but first I thought I would share one of many recipes inspired by the trip itself.
Prior to our trip, I had never heard of an Aperol spritz but apparently, they are the cocktail in Italy. After reading about them in various trip reviews and seeing them listed on the chalkboard at every bar and restaurant we walked past, we knew we had to try them out. In addition to the fact that they include prosecco, another excellent attribute is that they have a 3:2:1 ratio. Any cocktail that has a simple, easy to remember ratio, is key to have in your repertoire. This is bright, bubbly and refreshing, and I highly recommend it! We’ll be enjoying these often, especially for entertaining purposes. Once that bottle of prosecco is open the clock starts ticking so invite some friends over and let the fun begin!
