I promise we’ll get back to regularly scheduling Thanksgiving-related programming tomorrow but first, I need to share this. You know how it goes. Thanksgiving is over and just like that, we’re in the full holiday swing of things. Though I usually have things fairly together in the gift area, nearly every year I find myself way behind schedule with respect to holiday cards. I love photo cards but if you have to plan time for taking photos, getting cards printed, addressed, and mailed before Christmas, it can be a major time crunch. This year I was excited to see that the good people at Artifact Uprising are offering a few different styles of holiday photo cards. I was even more excited when, a few days later, they contacted me to offer a giveaway for my readers. It’s like they read my mind! (In case you missed my past post about the many reasons I love this company, here it is.)

Though I completely adore the look and concept of these 3-in-1 cards but, Instagram addict that I am, I ended up going for the  multi-image card. I especially loved it because I ended up making the whole thing from my phone in about 10 minutes, no frantic photo ops or stressing required. And I love the ability to share several different snapshots from our year – sort of a photo version of the traditional holiday letter, which I have neither the patience nor eloquence to write.

These cards look so cute Annie! And ideal if you can just drop photos in from your phone – it would be really quick! I’m completely with you on the card thing, I always do the same thing! Also, christmas music and films, I need to get them lined up this year rather than scrambling around for them halfway through december.

Yes! This is brilliant! Christmas cards would definitely become less stressful!

I LOVE AU! I order our annual family “yearbook” from them because I love the simple, classic style. Thanks!

Those are awesome! I’ll have to get some for sure.

Their work is stunning. I’ve actually had several books created since you first mentioned them nearly a year ago. But haven’t completed my purchase because on many of the pictures I kept getting a “low resolution” warning. I was wondering if you ever get this, especially with using iphone photos? I’m scared to order something that will have blurry photos (obviously, my fault, not AU’s) and waste money, time, and paper.

  • annieseats

Hmm, that is strange. I don’t recall ever having that issue with any of my photos. I have had the opposite problem I think, with some files being too large (not from my phone though). Which iPhone do you have? You may want to just contact them – they are always so friendly, I’m sure they could help you find a solution.

  • I love the idea of using multiple photos from throughout the year instead of putting pressure on yourself to get one perfect “holiday” photo. Thanks for sharing!

    Also, your family is adorable!

This does seem super simple. I just found your blog through a link (Two by Two MoM) and can tell I’ll be back! Your recipes look fantastic!

  • Gorgeous! One of my favorite parts of this card is the “sending you love” message in the middle – but it seems it’s not an option on the website. Was that a pic of your own? How did you do it? Thanks for sharing, Annie!

  • annieseats

Oh yeah, I meant to mention that! I created that with another app on my phone – Font Candy. Then just used that pic in my card layout.
